Best Burger Hunt!

It was my husbands birthday recently. He visited Belgium earlier this year and came back raving about a lamb burger he had at a family-run roadside cafe, the burger was called "Mary had a Little Lamb." He declared that it was the best burger he's ever had. Since then, we've been on a hunt to find the best burger in Jo'Burg. So as part of our search he decided to celebrate at a well known burger joint that we had never tried before, Gourmet Garage.

I focused mostly on their burger menu, they have every variety of Gourmet Burger from Chicken to Beef, but I went for the Ostrich Burger. I would recommend having it medium like I did, and it was perfect!

The restaurant had a great vibe, the manager was kind enough to allow us to stay well past midnight so we could watch the Champions League final - Atletico Madrid vs Real Madrid. I was backing Atletico, but they lost (Boo!). We had a great night, the service was excellent and the general consensus at the table was that the food was fantastic.

I emailed a bunch of bakeries in Johannesburg 5 days before the birthday and Donnae from Indulge not only got back to me the fastest, but she gave me the best price. The cake was chocolate Nutella flavour and it was divine. When I went to fetch the cake I couldn't resist and bought a mini Bar-One cake for tea, it was just as great. The next day we saw her stand at the Grand Designs Live Expo at the Coca-Cola Dome, her display was insane!

I would definitely recommend Indulge to everyone for their cake needs, not only are the cakes to die for, but they are no fuss to deal with.
